Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common cause of infertility in women. Ketogenic diet may have a promising benefit for women with PCOS by inducing weight loss and facilitating ovulation. In a recent study 4 women, with PCOS and a duration of infertility from 1 to 4.5 year have been treated withs KD (ranging from 4 to 8 weeks) and two women were able to conceive spontaneously with no ovulation induction needed.
