Coconut oil: excellent ingredient for cosmetic detergents

Following a ketogenic diet can sometimes cause a red, itchy rash, which people commonly refer to as a keto rash, weaken skin appendages and alter the skin microbiota.
◉The foaming agents of common detergents can damage the surface hydrolipidic film causing dryness and vulnerability to chemical and bacterial aggressions
◉Using oils instead of traditional soap or detergent cleansers can alsohelp protect the natural lipid layer of the skin and the good bacteriathat live there.

Due to its high content in saturated fatty acids (lauric, 50% and myristic, 20%) Coconut oil is an excellent fat for the formulation of most of the cosmetic detergents. It also contains caprilic and caprinic acids. It protects skinfrom the elements by forming a thin film, which is not absorbed.

Coconut oil is useful as an after sun skin oil and is also revitalizing to dry, damaged hair. It can also help protect against the sun’s UV rays.
