D and K together!!

From several in vivo and in vitro studies it is established that optimal and concomitant levels of vitamin D and K (liposoluble vitamins that play a central role in calcium metabolism) are beneficial for bone health and for the functioning of the cardiovascular system. In this work published in Int J Endocrinol. 2017 the hypothesis that the combined integration of vitamins D and K could be more effective than their individual consumption for bone health and cardiovascular well-being is supported. In fact, vitamin D promotes the production of vitamin K-dependent proteins to function properly. Given the powerful synergistic action of vitamins D and K, it is advantageous to include in your diet a variety of foods such as vegetables and fermented dairy products for the health of the bones and the cardiovascular system.
